There will always be more dance room – no elbow-hustling needed, thank you, And, often, the venues will be al fresco or on the rooftop – another bonus. Whether it’s jazz or blues, acoustic renditions of classics or plain old rock ‘n’ roll, Delhi’s music scene has evolved multiple times the past two decades, shifting from simply covers passing off as live music to homegrown music performed by live bands. In tandem, gig spaces in the city have transformed, allowing you to go beyond your neighbouring watering hole. From Prohibition Era bars to Caribbean lounges, black box theatres to pub franchises to malls. Here’s a music event that will surely get you pumped up!

Yesterdrive is a Delhi based Indie/Alternative Rock band from Arunachal Pradesh. Yesterdrive is a combination of words “Yesterday” and “Drive”, named after the sounds of the 80s and 90s and a stomp box the band uses. Formed in the summer of 2013, Yesterdrive cites its influences from the post punk favourites like “The Cure”, “The Ramones” and “The Band of Horses”. They were born out of passion and driven into music to bring back the sounds of the past. Astitva is a Multi Genre Hindi band based in New Delhi, India. The name has been derived from Astitva ( Devnagari ) a Sanskrit word meaning identity ). The simple definition of Astitva is Existence. Astitva encompasses hybrid styles of exquisite melodies and everlasting pop/rock instrumentation, hence carving out a special sound and considering there music as a labour of love as well as a message of hope to all.
